Dunedin Sights inc. Olverston House
Experience the city of Dunedin, New Zealand’s ‘City of Firsts’, from Scottish settlement in 1848 to the present day, enjoy a half day sightseeing tour of this beautiful city with a fully guided tour at the magnificent stately “Olveston House” included. The tour cost includes your transfers to and from the port.
9:00am we depart the Port for a harbour side drive into Central City with an introduction to the city and attractions. We set you down at Olveston House for a 1 hour tour of the house with its global collection of stately treasures. At 10.30am you will be collected and taken to the City Centre, you will be supplied with a city map and for the next few hours you are free to explore the city centre at your leisure. Enjoy a spot of shopping and lunch (at own expense).
At 2:00pm we meet up again at the Visitor Centre and set off on a full-commentary coach tour round the outskirts of the city taking in the ‘dress circle’ of Dunedin’s original homes of the wealthy settlers, to a lookout overlooking the city, up the world’s steepest street, through the University campus, out to the Peninsula high road for spectacular harbour, rural and ocean views, lastly down to the St Clair beach esplanade before returning back to your ship between 4:00pm-4:30pm.
